Action:
1) Open the 'Device Manager', and select the 'View devices by type' radio button.

2) Double-click on 'CD-ROM' in the list box.
3) Double-click on the CD-ROM drivers. (The CD-ROM driver 'Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'General' tab, and view the 'Device Status' group to determine what device is conflicting with CD-ROM drive controller and which resource value is in conflict.
5) Click 'OK' to close the CD-ROM drive 'Properties' dialog box.
6) Double-click on the device type in the list box conflicting with the CD-ROM drive.
7) Double-click on the driver for the device type conflicting with the CD-ROM drive . (The device driver 'Properties' dialog box appears.)

8) Click on the 'Resources' tab, and, if the 'Use automatic settings' check box is selected, clear it.
9) Select the resource in the 'Resource settings' list box and click 'Change Setting...'.
10) Select a new value from the list of available unassigned resources in the 'Value' box, and click 'OK'.

NOTE 1: If the 'No Modifications Allowed' message box appears, this resource cannot be changed.

11) Restart Windows 95 for the change to take effect.
